The Story behind the Song
We met Brianna Tam while we were still in production of Rescued Hearts and knew immediately that we wanted to work with her as the composer for our film. Not only is Brianna a brilliant artist, but she leads with her heart and pours all of her energy into her creations.
Brianna mentioned our film to her close friend, Elena Flores, a singer and songwriter who had been wanting to create an anthem for a film. After only hearing about the film, without watching the trailer or visiting our website, words began to flow through her. Within 24 hours, she had written a song called "Wild & Free."
I will never forget the the moment I first listened to words of this song. As tears rolled down my cheeks, I felt like I was seeing our entire film through each word, and at the time, I still had no idea what our film would even become.
She had written words that people were saying to us during the filming, and it felt as though the song was a form of divine inspiration, meant to guide us as we worked to complete the film.
In my mind, the film and this song are one. They are part of a tapestry of love and healing woven throughout each scene.
People tell us they listen to this song every day, or play it for their horses every day, because it gives them a sense of peace and reminds them why we are here.
We are forever grateful to Elena for being a conduit for heaven’s words in writing this song, and to Brianna for helping shape it into this transmission of healing.
